TEETH

Kendra was born without a tooth in front, she had to have braces and an implant. Hadley had to have his pallet expanded to make his mouth bigger and then had to have braces. Kaden had an extra baby tooth and an extra big tooth, had to have them both pulled. His mouth was big enough but his teeth were spaced too much, he gets braces this year. Ryan has to have a lip bumper on the bottom to make his bottom jaw bigger, a pallet expander on top, may still have to have teeth pulled to make room, and will have to have full braces later. My poor kids never had a chance at a perfect smile without the help of an orthodontist.

Dad of the Year

I got called in to work last night.  We finished up late and I had to work this morning.  So I slept at the hospital in our sleep room.  It really makes me miss home.  Yesterday while I worked, Burke took two kids to the orthodontist, went to work, picked up the house, made them all dinner, and made a midnight run to the grocery store for a sack lunch for Ryan to have for school tomorrow.  Through out the first of our marriage, Burke never did dishes, never did laundry, and didn't always know how to deal with the problems that having kids brings.  Now, with the long hours that I have to work, he has been a great help.  He does dishes, laundry, and is a loving dad that helps me more with the kids than I ever imagined he could.  After this week, he's definitely getting Dad of the Year.

Learning to Walk

Kendra was 10 1/2 months old when she learned to walk.  She wouldn't really crawl before that, she rolled to where she wanted to go.  Hadley learned to walk before he learned to crawl.  He was such an easy-going baby that he didn't care if he crawled, he just sat on the floor and played.  When he did learn to walk he didn't want to let go of our hands, so my mom would put a golf ball in each of his hands and then he would walk by himself.  Kaden did an army crawl.  One arm bent in front of him pulling his body behind.  Then he learned to crawl using one knee and one foot.  Uncle Stan and uncle Bryce then taught him to walk across the countertop at our house in Genola the day before his 1st birthday.  I think Ryan just learned to walk trying to keep up with his older sister and brothers!

Paint some toes...lose a child.

Sunday dinner at my moms house, us girls painted toes while we were there. This is a picture of what I painted on Kendra's toes. When we left, Burke and I were in separate cars so some of the kids went with me and some with him. When we got home me, Burke and Kendra were sitting in the front room talking and eating cookies. Kelly pulled up and Hadley got out of his truck! We had left him at my moms and hadn't noticed! Poor Hadley...Good thing he has a good sense of humor.

Jr. Prom :)

Kendra's Jr. Prom. She was so beautiful! Her and Clay looked amazing and they had so much fun. Before dinner they had time to waste and so they went to Sportsmans Warehouse in their formals! They ate dinner at the Olive Garden and after getting pictures taken at the dance they watched movies at one of their friends house.

Game Night!

Our second family game night went well. Lots of card playing, laughing, and treats.

The kids had fun running around playing and watching movies.

Now that Kelly is home from Afganistan it was a good excuse to get together. Fun was had by all. :)

A Perfect Mother's Day

Woke up this morning and Hadley cooked me breakfast. Then me and Kendra laid on my bed all morning watching 'Breakfast at Tiffany's'. We all went and fed the ducks at Salem pond.

And then we went up to the cement pond in Spanish fork to see who could keep their feet in the cold water the longest! Afternoon nap and then dinner at my moms with everyone. It was a perfect day. :)

Kaden's Track Meet

Kaden ran in the Hershey Track meet today. He was so excited for the day and ran so good. It was fun to watch. He had a baseball game tonight and by the time he got home he was beat.

Dirty Dishes

Dirty dishes, full laundry room, messy bathrooms, but instead of staying home and getting it taken care of I went with Burke up the canyon to call for turkeys. We didn't see any but had a great hike and the weather was very nice! We had fun and as always the stuff around the house will wait. :) Had dinner with the kids and then went shopping with Kendra, Hadley, and Ryan. Then I went and watched Kaden pitch again at his game. Burke is coaching his team again this year.

Color Festival

The kids went to the Color Festival in Salem last month at the Krishna Temple. They were a mess! Kaden and Ryan weren't so sure that they liked it. It is very messy and stinky, they told me. But I think they were still glad that they didn't miss out on the action. If you can't tell from the messy faces, it's Kendra, Hadley, Kaden, and Ryan. And the two in on the right in the back are Kendra's friends, Clay and Shelby. My mom took this picture. They always make a trip over to grandma's to show her how cute they are! :)

Waiting for Kelly

Less than two weeks before my big brother Kelly should be home from Afghanistan. He is over there doing electrical work for an independent contractor. He also did this same kind of work in Iraq a few years ago. Just out of high school Kelly was in the army so he is used to being in different parts of the world. But he is ready to come home right now. He has a house in Provo.
